Jean Ann Mayberry has spent her lifetime loving reading, writing, photography and color—and believed now was the perfect time to pull it all together along with her experiences of heartache, heartbreak, happiness and joy in this book of devotions.
She has been published in Christian devotional books, non-profit newsletters, event tabloids, and has had two newspaper columns prior to becoming an author. She worked in special events, advertising, marketing, public relations, as a director of advertising and special projects for a movie theater chain, a Main Street program, and tourism program.
Jean Ann began her career as a floral designer at age eighteen, she owned her own flower shop by age thirty-two. Opportunities were numerous—she became a Certified European Floral Designer, Presidential Inauguration Designer, a member of the American Institute of Floral Designers, Teacher of Design and Color, and an award-winning designer and commentator.
Living south-to-north and coast-to-coast, has given Jean Ann an appreciation of the many differences we each have, but even more, how very much we are alike. An avid reader, she has a book in hand most of the time, especially when traveling.
First, she loves The Lord with all her heart and strives to glorify Him. Jean Ann has been married to her high school sweetheart, Dan Mayberry, for over fifty years. They are growing old together with a belief that the best is yet to come. After moving numerous times, they now reside in Timothy, Tennessee, his home state, with five dogs and five horses.
Her path has been well-marked with the Lord’s presence in her life, taught by her loving parents, and grandparents. Her joy comes from her daughter with wings, two loving sons, their spouses, their beautiful grand and great grandchildren.
Jean Ann is blessed with family, friends, and her loving church family. As well, she trail-rides and horse-camps with girlfriends, the Bandy Creek Babes. Support and love from The Magnificent Seven and her Cosmic Kin Cathy—many miles apart, yet never far away.
